Here are the highlights of my community service for the past 20+ years in Nashua, New Hampshire, primarily via India Association of New Hampshire. For more than 20 years, I have been a leader with the India Association of New Hampshire and currently serve as its President.
Have advocated, volunteered and fundraised for Nashua Soup kitchen and Nashua Homeless shelter as well as soup kitchens in Manchester and Derry.
In 2021, I led IANH’s fundraising efforts within the Indian-American community to support Nashua Soup Kitchen’s initiative to transform the former school building at 35 Spring Street into an expanded emergency shelter. Our efforts raised $50,000 to support emergency housing and essential services for Nashua’s homeless individuals and families.
In 2018, I led the IANH team, to engage with Derry soup kitchen. We have been sponsoring Derry soup kitchen for 6 times a year since then. Our youth group has done multiple fundraisers for food items in the past so many years.
Organized Medicare camps for seniors in Nashua.
Led fundraising efforts to support hurricane victims in Florida and Puerto Rico.
Led fundraising efforts to support India’s COVID-19 response in 2021, resulting in a $75,000 donation to provide oxygen concentrators to communities in need across India.
Volunteered and raised funds for Education Bees organized by the India Association of New Hampshire and the North South Foundation.
Organized multiple events through the India Association of New Hampshire to give younger generations opportunities to showcase their cultural talents.
Have led India Association of New Hampshire over many years to develop and maintain very strong relationship with Indian consulates at New York and Boston for the benefit of Indian diaspora in New Hampshire
